Acquisition of SuperRewards

SuperRewards, the pioneer of virtual currency for social and mobile games, has been acquired by Playerize.

SuperRewards was founded in 2007 and quickly became a leading monetization service for online, free-to-play games. The company was acquired in 2009 by Adknowledge, one of the world's largest ad marketplaces. Jason Bailey, the principal founder, continued with Adknowledge and served as the GM of Games and Virtual Currency for two years, before leaving in 2011 to found East Side Games in Vancouver.

Playerize was founded in 2011 to drive growth for social and mobile games. The SuperRewards team and products will operate from offices in both Vancouver and San Francisco.

"The platform has undergone a lot of growth and improvement and there is a tremendous opportunity in the mobile and social game monetization space and we are extremely proud and excited that Adknowledge gave us the opportunity to acquire a majority stake in this product.” said Lyal Avery, Co-Founder of Playerize.

What's in store for customers?

This acquisition allows us to merge an industry stalwart armed with deep industry knowledge into our innovative platform built with the future in mind. We're very excited to expand our team to include such a talented group of professionals, and look forward to the benefits this will bring to each of our customer bases.

This is also an opportunity to significantly upgrade our customer service efforts in every direction. It is our a mission to rethink a confusing and archaic industry, to re-imagine what it means to have a game growth partner. Not only does that mean we endeavor to service our clientele better than anyone else, but it also means we aim to go the extra mile as we support their customers (the players) directly.

We know there are plenty of options out there when it comes to growth and monetization, so we work hard every day to completely outpace expectations and to make our customers more money. It is our goal to make working with us a no-brainer.
